Our Journey

Jessica Leigh is a New Zealand based clothing label that embraces the everyday woman wanting to add a little something extra to her wardrobe. The label believes slow fashion is the way of the future, staple pieces with extra detailing that last and are more enviromentally ethical.

Each piece, garment or accessory is handmade by designer and seamstress, Jessica Leigh. jessica leigh graduated with a bachelor of design in fashion in 2016. Fashion has always been her interest since she was a young girl.
Every item is inspired by everyday life experiences that Jessica Leigh has been through herself, she believes the label is a true extension of herself, her life, thoughts, styles, experiences. The label hopes to inspire and connect with people, not just the designer.
Jessica Leigh has show cased at Otago Museum for the Current exhibition, designing and making a piece inspired by a collectable in their library. This exhibition lasted three months.
Jessica Leigh was also featured on New Zealand bloggers Serendipty Ave's blog where two satin wrap dresses were featured in a style edit.
Every piece is sewn by hand in her dunedin home, fabrics come from local New Zealand businesses in Christchurch and Auckland. Embroidery, buttons and detailing is all done by hand on each peice by Jessica Leigh herself. She takes pride in doing everything herself, from designing to pattern making, cutting, toiling, sewing packing, social media and doing the bookwork.
Photography is done by one of Jessica Leigh's good friend, Isabella Bennett, if you'd like to contact her, her website is here.
